
The 2021 Library of Congress Lavine/Ken Burns Prize for Film honored outstanding documentaries about American history and culture. The 2021 winners used solid research, archives, and filmmaking skill to highlight overlooked stories and expand access to the Library’s resources. Winners receive funding and help from the Library’s collections and staff to reach audiences.

The 2021 TAPS Honor Guard Gala brought veterans, military families, supporters, and leaders together to honor America’s fallen. The evening featured an Honor Guard presentation, tributes to surviving families, and recognition of groups aiding the bereaved. Guests joined a program of remembrance and resilience and learned how to support TAPS’ peer support, grief counseling, and survivor resources. The gala reaffirmed the community’s commitment that no family faces loss alone.
